Bussing Incident - January 12, 2017

I would like to apologize for the lack of timely communication this morning regarding the delay in bussing.
In the future, if we are experiencing problems with busses not starting during inclement weather, we will send out a message via School Messenger, Facebook, etc. to all households by 5:30am and will go on a 2-hour delay schedule. If we continue to have issues and cannot pick up students in a timely manner, we will cancel school for the day and send out an additional notification.
Realizing that arranging for childcare on short notice can be an issue, I try to give as much advanced notification to families in the event of a 2-hour delay or closure, however, in an emergency situation when busses will not start we will follow the above protocol. Students who may have missed school today due to the bussing issue will have their absence excused.
Again, I sincerely apologize for the lack of timely communication and any inconvenience today’s bussing issues may have caused.
